Interesting Ideas for 13-Year Olds to Make Money

Once kids turn 13, they have this urge to take on responsibilities and start acting like a grown up. Establishing their adulthood may not come easy but one of the ways which they can do just that is by knowing how to earn money by themselves. Of course, as teens, they aren’t ready for the stresses that real jobs bring. Moreover, it  important, that despite having jobs, they still have time to enjoy their youth. Therefore, listed below is a list of interesting ideas that can help 13-year olds make money.

·         Tutor. Even at a young age, kids can start tutoring students who are younger than them, especially when they are very good at certain subjects. They can teach simple mathematics or science to younger kids or even help toddlers make arts and crafts. If they are good at sports, they can earn money from that too. They can coach a little league or teach toddlers how to play basketball or soccer every weekend.

·         Volunteer at Summer Camp. One fun way for 13-year olds to earn money is to volunteer at Summer Camps. There are multiple job opportunities that 13-year olds can qualify for at summer camp. They can simply assist their Summer Camp leaders or become a checker.

·         Ticketing jobs. This is probably one of the simplest jobs that teens can do. They can work at an amusement park or at a theater and sell and accept tickets.

·         Babysit. Babysitting requires responsibility, so if your kids are responsible enough to handle younger kids, you can try to convince them to babysit. So if your neighbors need to go out on a date, you can make your kid consider babysitting as you will also be there to guide him or her when he or she needs you.

·         Online jobs. There are many online surveys for 13-year old kids such as Get Paid. By taking paid surveys online, they can earn money by simply sharing their opinions regarding products and services. Aside from that, they can also try their hand at data-entry jobs.

·         Delivery. If your kid loves driving his or her bike, he or she can use this activity to score extra money. He or she can deliver pizza, newspaper, milk or other items that are consistently being delivered to your neighborhood. Aside from earning a consistent salary, they can also earn some tips.

·         Groceries or Restaurants. If you wish your kid to experience how it really is in the real world, you can let him or her consider working at a grocery or a restaurant. There they will be able to work with all sorts of people and learn how to be sociable.

These are all interesting money-making ideas that your kids can do. Just keep in mind that you need to leave the decision on which job to choose with your kid so that he or she will be able to have fun with experience and learn from it as well.
